The European Investment Bank (EIB) are the world's largest investors in project to help people inside and outside of the EU mitigate and adapt to climate change impacts.

In this interview Vice President Jonathan Taylor, who oversees the green investment strategy, explains that the EIB are increasing their target from 25% of their annual €90billion budget to 35% to invest in projects to tackle climate change.

Mr Taylor also acknowledges that although these sums sound large, they are a mere fraction of what is required to tackle the problem effectively but stresses that by collaborating with the private sector their is growing ambition to scale these numbers up from the billions to the trillions that are required.
